Who Is Scot Spooner?

Scot began his military career in 1992, when he enlisted in the US Army at 17 years old. Scot progressed through the ranks at uncommon speed, being selected for promotion to Sergeant Major with only 15 years in the Army, this being an achievement that takes the “normal” soldier an average of 22 years to attain, if ever. Scot served in key leadership positions while assigned to the top units in the US Army, which included: The 82nd Airborne Division, 3RD Special Forces Group, John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center, and finally the US Army’s 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta (Delta Force). After 17 years of military service with 13 years as a Green Beret, 6 years in Delta Force and multiple combat rotations, Scot made the bold but difficult decision to walk away from his career prior to retirement in order to live the American dream of being an entrepreneur. Since December 2009 Scot has been a successful business owner, and a catalyst for positive change to every client he has been privileged to serve. As a key senior leader in our Nations Strategic force Scot was required to give advice and expertise to superiors that reported directly to the Chairman of The Joint Chiefs. Scot held the lives of many of our Nations Finest, our Nations Reputation, in the palm of his hand. At times on a daily basis. Scot’s professional aspirations are coupled with his deep belief in giving back to his military roots. He does so by staying actively involved in numerous veteran support efforts, which include: PTSD and TBI awareness and other programs that support Gold Star families. Scot is also an author having published a self help/ motivational book that is focused on helping others take charge of their lives through personal accountability and responsibility.
